Terms of membership at Messinn at Drift EA

1. Membership

Messinn is a community of individuals, businesses and entrepreneurs who want to work in a creative environment, build their networks and take part in a thriving innovation ecosystem. Membership provides access to the services and benefits defined for each membership option at any given time.

Drift EA reserves the right to develop and change its services, facilities and events as needed.

2. Membership options and pricing

The following membership options are available:

Hyrna - Full membership: ISK 45,000 per month

  • 24/7 access to Messinn 
  • Access for 3 guests you can bring along without a membership, for example to a meeting or an event at Drift EA. 
  • Access to all Drift EA events
  • Access to quiet spaces
  • Discount on room hire for private events
  • Free access to meeting rooms: Stefnið, Káetan, and Kýraugað.
  • Access to shared desks with a monitor
  • Free coffee and sparkling water


Magri - Basic membership: ISK 15,000 per month

  • Price: ISK 15,000 per month
  • 24/7 access to Messinn
  • Access to all Drift EA events
  • Access to quiet rooms
  • Venue for private innovation events


Members who choose to pay for a full year at a time receive a 20% discount off the current price from Drift EA.

All prices are subject to Drift EA’s current price list.

3. Payments

Monthly payments are collected in advance at the beginning of each month.

Annual membership is paid in advance for the entire membership period.

Payment obligations remain in effect until membership is terminated in accordance with these terms.

Drift EA reserves the right to change its price list with at least 30 days' notice.


4. Membership Cancellation

Membership at the Mess is subject to a three-month notice period.

The notice period takes effect at the end of the month following receipt of written notice.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Drift EA at driftea@driftea.is

Payment obligations remain in effect during the notice period.

Example: If notice is given on March 15, it takes effect on April 1 and membership ends on June 30.


5. Access and Use

Members commit to:

  • Take good care of the premises, equipment and shared facilities.
  • Treat other members with respect and consideration.
  • Follow Drift EA’s rules on safety, access and use of the facilities.
  • Use the facilities in accordance with the law and good business practices.

Membership or access cards may not be transferred to a third party without the written consent of Drift EA.

6. Breach of Terms

If a member is found to have repeatedly breached the terms, behaved inappropriately or misused the facilities, Drift EA may terminate their membership immediately. In the case of serious breaches, termination does not entitle the member to a refund.


7. Liability

Drift EA is not responsible for:

  • Members’ personal belongings.
  • Any damage that may result from a failure of equipment, an internet connection, or another service provided by Drift EA.
  • Indirect damages resulting from the use of or restricted access to the facilities.

Members are responsible for their own equipment and valuables.


8. Privacy

Drift EA processes members’ personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the company’s privacy policy.


9. Changes to the Terms

Drift EA reserves the right to amend these terms.

Significant changes will be announced with reasonable notice, at least 30 days before they take effect.


10. Consent

By registering and paying for membership, the member confirms that they have read and accepted these terms.
